I am networked with many start ups. Their business functions only when they can provide good data, so they are highly motivated to keep the reviews honest. Your company owner is in complete denial about his own ineffectiveness.
But when multiple people are complaining and people are talking anonymously online about the internal problems, you can be pretty darn sure that the problems they speak of are real.
I made very emotional appeal to them that this is a fake review that appears on the first page of Google. Also worth noting is that anyone can encourage employees to share reviews, but they are not allowed to offer incentives or other perks in exchange for reviews. One of our potential customers saw that and brought that to my attention. Thanks for bringing this to us, we really appreciate the opportunity to respond. In other words, regardless of the legalities of this, it violates Glassdoor policies and a quick email to Glassdoor should put them on the look out for fake reviews.
Some frauds who contacted us for some contract work that they would do from India and we hired them and due to poor quality we terminated them. I am broke and the the only livelihood I have this small business that Glassdoor destroyed for no fault of us.
All of us in the team are shocked about the contents such as "jokers" "Cheating others", which anyway violate the review posting policies of Glassdoor. Despite requesting several times to Glassdoor they never removed those reviews. I wish I had some money to challenge it legally. Now, depending on who you are, your response should be different.
There should be some law to save small business that are always vulnerable to such online so called review sites.
If you are an entry level guy, send an email to Glassdoor on your home account warning them about the requirement from write a review on glassdoor boss to write this, write a sappy review which will get rejected anyway for not having any cons, and get your resume spiffed up to look for a new job.
Oh, they say they do, but they are lying, because all they want to do is hear things that are sunshine and roses. The reality is, some bosses just do not want to hear real feedback. This company will never get business from my current or future company. In that process I lost my home, my property and everything though I am positive that I will bounce back.
We are a small technology company in San Jose with no branch in any other country though we employee overseas vendors from time time. But your problems are bigger than fake Glassdoor reviews.
Because when you fix the underlying problems, your Glassdoor reviews will change all on their own. I painstakingly tried to build this company from my own money. I offered to give them my CPAs contact details so that they can find out how many employees we had in our payroll.

A New Study Says Yes Glassdoor has millions of jobs plus salary information, company reviews, and interview. Glassdoor runs contests - a $ sweepstakes which is displayed prominently. In addition, people write reviews for the exact reasons any customer writes product reviews.
